In recent weeks we have seen people using “Blackberries ” (these are advanced mobile phones that access the internet and do other stuff) to plan, co-ordinate, and action riots and looting. We have also seen two young men jailed for four years for planning a riot using the social networking site “Facebook”. Is this the fault of technology – certainly not

But technology can never define us as human beings. The fact that I may have more “friends” on Facebook than anyone else does not say anything about my humanity.

We are all made in the image of God and we are defined by our relationships to each other as humans and also our relationship with God

Go on – Write a proper letter, invite someone out for a coffee, or even just a chat (face to face of course)

So God created humankind in his image, in the image of God he created them, male and female he created them. Genesis 1:27
