| Print | |
|
Thanks to the wonderful team effort of the whole Church family, we raised £1300!
We were blessed with fine weather and a big turnout – which all helped to make this a bumper Christmas Fayre!
A big thank you to everyone who helped in so many ways.

Appeal for Raffle prizes |

The Fund Raising committee would be really grateful to receive any unwanted gifts from birthdays or other anniversaries this summer, or maybe you would be kind enough to pick up suitable toiletries, chocolates and gifts on your shopping trips. The various £1 shops in Eastleigh have some great value items. Our “Raffle basket” was emptied at the Summer Fayre and we need to start looking towards the Autumn Coffee Mornings, the Quiz Night and, of course, the Christmas Fayre! Thank you very much.

Volunteers required |

|
The chaplaincy team at Southampton General Hospital is looking for volunteers who can spare a couple of hours on Friday mornings. A service is held in the chapel on Sunday mornings and the team of volunteers aims to visit every patient in the hospital on the previous Friday morning to ask them if they would like to attend the service on the Sunday or would like a bedside visit. This is a vital part of the service offered by the chaplaincy team especially since quite frequently patients are unaware of the existence of the chapel and what is on offer.
If you think this is something you might be interested in then please contact Sue Clarke (02380 619059) or ring the chaplaincy directly for more information (02380 796745). Volunteers will be given training and, of course, will need to be CRB checked.

FRIDAY KIDS AND COFFEE SPONSORED TODDLE |
| Print | |
|
At the end of the summer term Friday Kids and Coffee did a sponsored toddle to raise money for Dr Barnardo’s charity for children. They toddled from St. Peter’s Church to the vicarage. The theme this year was “Creatures” and they all dressed in butterfly wings for the toddle, and collected coloured paper butterflies on the way. We had a picnic in the vicarage garden, followed by a treasure hunt to find toys hidden in the bushes. Thank you to all the families that took part and we will let you know how much we raised.

Summer Fayre 2011 |
| Print | |
|
We had a wonderful sunny and dry day on the 2nd July and raised £760 towards Church Funds.
Thanks go out to the Social and Fund Raising Committee for all their hard work; to all the people who cooked and donated; to those who came on Friday afternoon and Saturday to lug boxes and tables; to the stallholders sweltering in the hot sun; to the church and community who were kind enough to turn out and spend such a lot of money in a very good cause, and finally to Brian for being such a good sport – “Splat the Vicar” needs to be an annual event!
A big thank you to the Co-op for donating £30 in vouchers and to The Arrow for donating a meal for two, for our First and Second prizes for the raffle.
