For some of us Sunday mornings are very busy and we may not manage to get to church at St Peter's very often, if at all. For some of us Sunday mornings at St Peter's are very busy. There are many duties, laying up of the altar for communion, churchwarden duties, sidesduty, administrative tasks, music to arrange - playing the organ or remembering to put a CD into the machine at the right time, preparing and running the groups for our young people, setting up from and making the coffee, buying the milk, setting up and manning the Traidcraft Stall, giving out the Verbal notices that did not make it into the Newsletter, large print hymn sheets to be found for use during the service and filed away afterwards, collection to be counted, litter picking, checking that only church goers park in our car park, preaching, reading, intercessions...the list is endless and might mean we cannot give our full attention to the service.... THANK GOODNESS there is a quiet alternative and a great way to prepare if we know we are going to be busy on Sunday morning... HOLY COMMUNION in the church (no hymns, no duties, no distractions) Every THURSDAY at 11.00 am
